Just played two big interstate shows opening for The Human League here in Australia. Used the SDS8 brain and SDS9 pads. All performed flawlessly. Is there anyone else out there still gigging with their Simmons? Ken http://www.tycho.com.au

I use my sillicon mallet all the time. It died a couple weeks ago and i am taking the time to have my tech go over it completely and have a pair of D.I.s installed...i'm a keyboard player and got the mallet thinking it would be a nice diversion. It has proven to be a joy and liberating to play. It is exilerating to play live !!!!! I am considering adding another Simmons head like SDSV or 9 to it. I midi it to my Yamaha TX816 and sometimes to my Kurz Choirs...the Yamaha just expands the mallet sound in very natural ways and the Kurz Chiors sound other-worldly triggered from the mallet... I'm happy to hear of others still using these really kewl instruments.....they just blow the competition away nite after nite. Derrick

I saw HL last year during their Dare 2008 tour. They played the whole album from start to finish and ended with various other hits. It was very very good. WT ----- Original Message -----
