New member introduction

2013-05-19 by simmonssds7fan

Just thought I'd be polite and introduce myself to the group. My name is Paul Metcalf, age 43, and I hail from the USA.

I've been a longtime Simmons fan, and now short-time owner of some great vintage gear. Always wanted a kit back when they were new, but never could afford them. Now however, I can say that I finally can. Currently I have two SDS-7 brains, one with five voice cards, and the other loaded with 12 cards. I've also got a semi-functioning SDS9 brain that I'm slowly working on getting fully functioning again, but that's another longs story that I'd like to thank both Wolfgang Stoelzle and Michael Buchner for their advice and help via emails with that unit.

I've also got a set of rare Blue colored (I'm told blue is one of the rarest colors) SDS-9 pads that I'm using with the SDS-7 brains.I'm hoping I can trade information that I've collected as well as repair advice from those in the know here.
