No, not the same material I'm afraid...  but Neoprene could be really interesting actually & having better triggering / bounce properties.

Also contacted the original manufacturer. While they fondly remembered making them they no longer have the facilities to make them. :( I'm also meeting with a local company tomorrow to see about having them replicated. Keep you posted.
