I have had success with double sided foam core tape. Don't forget to pour too much hot glue on the wires. It's a requirement for drum pads.

Subject: [Simmons Drums] Adhesives

Anybody know what adhesive to use to attach a new piezo to a bass drum pad. It looks like rubber cement. Could I use contact cement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Krazy Glue (or similar) between the piezo and wood, let dry, then apply a generous bead of silicone around the perimeter and edge of the piezo, and a good blob of silicone on the piezo wiring to help keep them from vibrating loose. Use Gaff Tape to secure the wiring that runs from the piezo to the jack to prevent them from vibrating.
