what happened to the promised SDS-III clone?

I cannot find any more answers on Mode Machines homepage either. Did 
they shelf it? Did Dave step in with a veto? Is it being reworked into 
something else?

Hello Jesper,
I prepared all boards and circuitries for Mode Machines, they presented the 5 channel clone on the Musikmesse and then they went bankrupt. Once again people talking and promising. But several music friends warned me not to cooperate with Touched-by-Sound, I should have known better. 
I made several hand made SDS 3s for friends, also SDS 4s are available and the ClapTrap MK2 (analogue). But I can only make few.

Sad to hear that you got burnt... :( Since I have one of the original 
units myself I wasn't too interested in the clone, but only interested 
in the fact that such cool drummer was being cloned.

So the mode machines is a reconstructed company then? Since they're 
still out there I mean. Always good to know if something pops up. The 
TBS-story I know, but wasn't aware that they were the same people behind 
the different companies.

I was considering the new Mode Machines modular Ring Mod:
http://www.juno.co.uk/products/mode-machines-ms20-rm-modulair-korg-ms20/622161-01/
So its most likely a new company using the MM name then? Can anyone vouch for quality of the product or should I steer clear? Can't find any more info about the module online.
