AHMW 2004 and the SynthModules PSIM-1

2004-03-21 by Brice D. Hornback

Hello everyone. There were a lot of people who came up to me and wanted to
buy a SynthModules PSIM-1 module. Unfortunately, I hadn't had any sleep for
about 72 hours so I can't remember everyone who wanted me to contact them.
SO... if you want a PSIM-1 module, I only have a few left that aren't
already paid for... so please order soon. Also, please be patient with me
getting them built for you. I built a bunch to hand deliver to folks at
AHMW 2004 and need a few days to recover before I begin assembling more.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet everyone I met at AHMW 2004. Talk about
a GREAT group of people! I wish I had arrived earlier and had more time to
walk around and talk to people. Connecting my synth to Michael Firman's
Serge was something I'll NEVER forget. Here is a 1.8MB sample of what it
sounded like:

Description: Recorded LIVE on March 20th, 2004 at AHMW 2004... Brice's
PSIM-1 sampling a Wiard Noise Ring driving a MIDI Drum Machine. The CV
output of the PSIM-1 as well as the clock out was driving Michael Firman's
Serge! I was changing the "Chance" and "Change" settings on the Noise Ring
using a joystick controller. The drum sounds are all from my synth setup.
Everything else you're hearing is pure Serge. If you can't download from
the link above... I've added a link on my MP3 page one my Web site as well.

Anyway... it was a LOT of fun and I can't wait until next year!

Take care,
Brice
