Re: [SynthModules] SpeakJet question: what are the PhraseALator1_0.zip files?

Dave,

Those are Windows programs to use the SpeakJet chip. Don't bother with the
first two. The latest version 1.3 has a very nice dictionary built-in. You
have to build a RS-232 interface to the SpeakJet chip. There are two
schematics online for this if you want to experiment. In one of the photos
taken at AHMW 2004, you can see my PSIM SpeakJet prototype module. It has a
DB-9 connector on it for connecting it directly to my PC so I can use the
PhraseALator software. OR... I simply throw a switch and it communicates
with my PSIM-1.

Also, it is looking like the PSIM SpeakJet module will be the first add-on
module once I get all these PSIM-1's built and shipped.

Take care,
Brice
