PSIM-1 Received

2004-05-05 by hosawa2003

Just some initial thoughts after having just received the PSIM-1.

The package I received from Brice included the PSIM-1 (obviously), a
serial cable, and a CD ROM with all the relevant files. This made
setting up the PSIM-1 very easy, and I was able to load programs
almost immediately after racking the module. I did download the most
current version of Basic ATOMPRO and I'm not sure if the version that
was included on the CD ROM would work.

I am not a serious programmer and am relatively new to modulars, but
after loading some programs into the PSIM-1 and having a Noise Ring
and/or MiniWave drive it, I am beginning to get a feeling for how the
PSIM-1 and my modular set up interact. Of course this depends on
what's loaded into the PSIM-1, but I can imagine digging deeper into
the progams people have already contributed (thanks to all!!), and
modifying them to suit more specific needs, and maybe, after getting
more familiar with Basic ATOMPRO, even writing a new program!

Thanks to Brice and again to everyone who has provided programs for us
non-programmers to use. This is a lot of fun.
