Absolutely! You could even have logic functions like AND and XOR on
different inputs, like "advance to next step only if input 1 is High AND
input 2 is Low," or even more convoluted, like "Advance from step 3 to step
4 only when input 2 goes High; advance from step 5 to step 5 only when input
1 goes High; etc." Ain't programmability great?! It's the user interface
that will be tricky, especially for an 16 step sequencer, or even just an 8
step one.
