(sigh)
(cue scratchy copy LP of "MacArthur Park *quietly* in background)

i've made a very concentrated (and VERY uncharacteristic) effort to
keep my nose out of this. i did this because i like the PSIM and had a
lot of fun with it. As a few of you know, i've piddled around with DIY
PC-based I/O contraptions since the 80's and when the PSIM came along
it turned out to be…… well, just damned convenient! It still is. In
exchange for that convenience i was willing to quietly nestle in my
hole with my panel-less prototype and stay there. And rest assured
that after i say my piece, i'm going right back there.

I linked to the directory
http://www.synthmodules.com/programs/PSIM-1_Programs/
and read the versions of the code that i wrote that were posted
therein. I should have done this sooner and i admit to a lack of
circumspection in this delay.

So…

One of the things that endears Grant to me is his no nonsense
forthrightness. He calls a spade, a spade, and "utter and complete
bullshit" pretty much sums it up. (Bravo Professore!) I see no point
in commenting on the modifications to my code or in empty speculation
as to the reasons for it. I will neither comment nor speculate.

So here's the deal plain and simple.
Anyone who wishes to obtain a copy of any of my original MBASIC
programs may contact me at:
drmabuce@yahoo.com
In response, i will make a good faith effort to email you what you
request. My time is very limited and my replies will be dealt with
strictly as my leisure to do so allows. i figure that if you're
reading this you are acquainted with , at least, the practice, if not
the virtue of patience.

My MBASIC code is public domain and is donated freely to the whole
cotton-pickin' universe. It was posted free of charge to this Yahoo
Group and it will remain free of charge to any person, entity or
phenomenon with sufficient sentience to compose an email request. It
may be used commercially (snork!) with this ,and only this caveat:

"Dear Person/Entity/Phenomenon trying to charge money or assert
exclusive rights for MBASIC code written by the Modern Implement Company,

People will laugh at you for trying to charge money or assert
ownership of this code because Modern Implement code is goofy.
Furthermore, Pedantic obsessive neurotics will publicly decry the
mistakes and lapses of efficiency contained in it, in addition to
laughing at it because it is goofy. If you think that this is
commercially viable code then you must be kind of nutsy.

If, despite the foregoing, anyone at all does confer sufficient value
on it to justify commercial application then we don't care a bit. We
will provide them original copies free of charge and….if anyhing ,we
want to meet them! (or at least see photos of them in their
straightjackets and Napoleon hats) because they must be goofier than
us and we are very entertained by goofiness!
(apparently)

And sincerely,
Mike Murphy, aka dr.mabuse
commanding megahoncho of the Modern Implement Company Software
Deranging Division"

(and now , as promised,…..i'm withdrawing back to my hole)
