PSIM-1 Status Update

PSIM-1 Status Update

2006-09-22 by synthmodules

Hello everyone. I haven't gone anywhere. Andrew K. was supposed to
send an update a couple weeks ago but it looks like that didn't
happen. My server went away (after co-locating it in the same place
since 1994) and I had to put a new one online which is why my emails
may have been bouncing and the site was down for about a week.
Anyway, several modules have shipped since my last update and I am
planning on working all weekend long on getting another bunch
shipped Monday. All that remains on the remaining modules is wiring
from the jacks to the PCB and testing.

I am so sorry this has taken so long. I have every intention of
shipping every last module. You will get your modules. It will not
be much longer. I know your patience has long since ran out. Just
a bit more please...

I'll give another update on Monday with how many shipped and how
many are remaining.

Please understand there have been many circumstances beyond my
control that have led to serious delays in shipping. For that, I am
truly sorry. But also understand you will get your modules and I
hope we can all come together as a community once again and enjoy
them.

Best regards,
Brice

Brice? over a month later? still no update?
you ok? did i miss an update?
anyone received theirs? in the last 3 months? 6 months?
year? please speak up! thanks!

Brice, please, we need an update. 4-6 weeks was your quoted ship time when
we entered this contract. Now, it seems that's not enough time to even get a
reply. Please clarify and request approval if there is a change of terms.

No, I'm not ok. I've been in and out of the hospital several times and now
have pneumonia. Sorry for the lack of updates. I once again entrusted
Andrew K. to supply an update and it looks like he didn't come through for
me. I'm in the process of trying to find someone to help me finish the
remaining modules. I'll let you all know how that turns out but I wouldn't
trust just anyone to finish these modules so if he decides to do it... they
will be just as good as if I had done them.

All that remains on *all* the remaining modules is wiring the 1/8" jacks and
three switches that are mounted on the panel (the ground wiring between all
the jacks is already finished) to the PCB and two ICs inserted. If anyone
would like their module who is willing to do the final wiring and can't wait
any longer, please let me know and I'll ship it immediately and throw in a
serial LCD display.

Due to health issues, I am having difficulty working on them and am doing my
best. Every single one of them will get finished and shipped. There are 18
modules remaining to ship out of 56.

Gary, yours is a bit more difficult but most of the wiring is already done.
Since it's the most difficult to wire, I've been working on it off and on.
It's close.

- Brice

Brice,

Sorry to hear about your health problems - but you need to keep in touch.

Brice,

I will take you up on your offer - please send the module in its
present state! I will gladly finish it.

Gary
