If you need more than one quantizer, maybe you *don't* need more than one module, just a single PSIM. If this doesn't apply to you, well, just let me blab some more about My Favorite Module. ;-) I wrote that the PSIM-1 is a "programmable quantizer/scaler/linear-to-expo convertor/etc..." But wait, there's more! It is probably the only module that could interface an MS-20 (linear), a MiniMoog (0.9V/Oct?), and EML (1.2V/Oct?) *and* a plain old 1V/Oct) together at the same time, because each of the 4 CV outputs can have independent (and simultaneous) quantizing, scaling, linear/expo-ing, LFO-ing, and detuning... did I miss anything? Quantized harmonies. Pitch envelopes. Whatever. Another twist on this is to use different keyboards to do different things. (Make the PSIM respond differently depending on which keyboard is being played.) Given the above synths, the MS-20 keyboard could play a unison line (with an expression pedal controlling detuning) whereas the MiniMoog keyboard would trigger harmonised CVs. I haven't set this up, but it's totally doable. -- john
