I'm cheap but I want one...

2004-08-20 by Larry T.

Hello everyone

I found out about this interesting device AFTER they were already sold
out :(

I also note that Brice is working his tail off to compelte the
existing orders and is finding that it is more work then expected
(read next run will cost more...) :(

Brice, how about selling a kit with just the 2 PCBs, CPU with initial
program, and the connectors to connect the 2 PCBs? Then we buy the
rest of the parts and build the board up ourselves! It might be nice
to have the PAIA/Blacet/Waird front panel as an option as well. (I
expect to use Stooge fron panel or make one as I don't want the serial
port on the front anyway.)

I'd love to get one, but I don't have the bucks at $270. Plus, with
only doing a partial kit, you save a ton of labor time!! :)

Maybe? Please!! PLEEEASE!!!!!

Anyone else interested?? Maybe we can convince him;)

Larry

I would be.

All my stuff is in 3u eurorack cases, and im happy with soldering / sourcing parts, so a pcb / cpu kit would be ideal with me.

FYI, the Stooge panel does have the serial port on the front.

Larry,

I have no plans for offering the PSIM-1 as a kit or bare boards. The
assembled modules that I have shipped have had *ZERO* problems. Each one I
ship I have personally built, tested, and know for sure they work
flawlessly. I plan to keep it this way.

Once this batch is completed, I *will* be offering another run of modules.
But first... I have to get these completed first.

Thank you all for being patient.

Take care,
Brice
