Hi Brice,

You can really program nice things with PSIM!!
I think the S/H are BMP fixed, right? is there a way to have a clock in
for them?
Also the "step" in 256 CV sequencer works in record mode too?

Thanks,

Josue.,

Re: [SynthModules] PSIM-1 Update / Uploads

2004-01-31 by Brice D. Hornback

Josue,

Thanks. I couldn't have done any of this without Grant and Doc's help.
Anyway...

The first Sample and Hold code can be set to any BPM you want between 0 and
254. 119 is 120 BPM since counting starts at ZERO. I need to verify this
but I think that's right. It's something to keep in mind anyway when using
the variables. They start at 0.

Anyway, I just uploaded a three channel Chromatic Quantized Sample and Hold
program that uses IN-4 for CLOCK IN. Read the comments in the code. It
requires a short pulse on IN-4 for it to work properly. Timing is not
verified and your results may vary... but it seems to work VERY well from
very short timings to so fast it sounds that sampling noise sounds like
noise again.

If you are referring to programming each step by pushing the START button in
the 256-step CV sequencer... YES. You can do that too. I just didn't have
a keyboard connected (and didn't want to wiggle the joystick that much) and
was just sampling noise and didn't want to press the START button 256 times
to record each step. :-) Since the Start/Stop buttons are also CV
controllable, I just ran a pulse into it to keep the steps moving along
automatically.

Thanks,
Brice
