PSIM Display update
2006-01-30 by djbrow54
This was the first weekend I've been home in several months. I spent the entire time programming. I decided to update all of my programs to use the LCD display I made for my PSIM. At a minimum I display the program name so I know what program is loaded. I've gone back to a few and enhanced the programs to use the display. This is especially useful for programs where I am selecting or setting specific parameters. I updated my LFO program so the display will show me which waveform is selected (sine, pulse, saw, ramp, triangle) and the settings for pulse duty cycle (in %) and the offset of OUT4 (in degrees). It really makes the programs much more friendly. I also updated one program to display all four OUT voltages to one decimal point (e.g. 8.7 volts). I had it running for a while with two decimal points but the display was too crowded. I don't know that I spent my weekend in a productive fashion but it sure was fun. I even taught my daughter some programming by coding up a clock using the display. Photos at http://modularsynthesis.com/modules/synthmodules/PSIM-Display/PSIM- Display.htm Sorry about the long link.
