Now what?

Now what?

2006-02-24 by mate_stubb

All,

I've just completed mounting my PSIM on my MOTM stooge panel and it is
doing a low lfo sweep out of the 4 outputs.

I've read the owners manual and don't see anything about how to
download programs into it, or what I need to install on my computer,
or what program to use to download, etc.

Now what?

Yo, Moe! Just download the BasicATOMPRO software from BasicMicro:
    http://www.basicmicro.com/ViewPage.aspx?ContentCode=d_basicatompro

Run a serial cable from your PC to the PSIM; that's how you download
programs into it. (Well... you initiate the transfer on the PC, so I suppose
that you "upload" to the PSIM.) A cheap USB-to-serial converter can be used
on the PC, since many PCs lack the once ubiquitous serial ports.

Grab the existing programs from here:
    http://www.synthmodules.com/programs/PSIM-1_Programs/

Be sure to read (and download your own copy of) this:
    http://www.synthmodules.com/other/message96.txt

BTW, I've also got a Stooge panel for my PSIM, but I haven't even begun the
conversion (I'm torn -- FracRack stuff keeps tempting me). If you've got any
tips, parts suggestions, etc., I'd love to hear them.

This is utter and complete bullshit.

Mike Murphy and I were guaranteed that all software contributed would be Public Domain.

All software I and Mike contributed IS still Public Domain, remove the GPL header. It is
incorrect.

It is not the intent of the courts to use intellectual property laws to obstruct the progress of
American technology. The only claim a manufacturer can make against a copy is loss of
income, which if you are not selling or shipping a design, CAN NOT be claimed!

If the design is not shipped commercially for two years, it becomes "fallow" and is no longer
defensible under intellectual property laws. The term is "failure to commercialize". This will
invalidate a PATENT, although the time needed is longer.

If you design something, you must put it in production, and KEEP it in production or you lose
all rights to the design.

This is probably Goodbye

Since I am probably going to get kicked off this group, I wish I could say it was fun.

By the way, in case anyone needs to know how to file a fraud compalint, you call the
District Attorney for the County that the party committing fraud lived in at the time the
fraud was comitted. Say you wish to register a criminal complaint of fraud for non-delivery
of purchased goods. If the amount is over $500, it is a felony fraud complaint.

It is not nessecary to know the current address of the criminal. The compalint only needs
to be filed for the address where the check was sent to.
