Re: Updated! ZEROSCILLATOR TESTING PROCEDURE Version 2.0

2006-08-05 by tuninghead

Hi all you Zeroscillinos,

Cynthia did a great job condensing the testing and adjustment
procedure into this document. However, I noticed a tiny error in step
16 and in the interest of correctness and completeness, I type the
following:

[ALERT: ADJUSTMENT CAN CHANGE 1V /OCTAVE CALIBRATION] does not apply
here. Adjusting the quadrature shape control has no effect on the
1V/oct calibration.

Also, a word about turning any of the trimmers, and that is, you
probably don't have to. All important voltages within the ZO are
derived from a precision reference and unless you work on Mercury or
Pluto, you probably won't have to turn anything. The exception may be
the 1v/oct trimmer in order to match your (uncalibrated) equipment.
Ahem. And remember, let the thing warm up and settle before you
consider doing anything.

Just my $1/50,
