> There's nothing wrong with mini-jacks, or quarter-inch jacks, or banana jacks. Each has both advantages and disadvantages. If one system had all the advantages, everyone would use it. Peace. Hear, hear! As a long time modular owner of everything from the 2600 to VCS3 to Doepfer, MOTM, and Cyndustries I'm all for mixing. What I will say is that I *really* like the size/layout of the "A" series Modcan/Cyn stuff. It's my favorite of all. The modules are big enough to go crazy with the patch cords and still get at the knobs, see the lights, setting etc and at the same time they are thin and economical in size so you can have a HUGE system that will easily fit on a desk or small table. Right now I have the most complex create I've worked with in 6 six paks and that included the honkin' major PS which takes up one Sixpak and a MOTM patch panel which allows it to talk to all my 1/8" frac and other suckers. Aside from whether one *should* use whatever jack I like what Dennis' tech did using the banana sized Zero VCO and making it 1/8". Seems to me that is much nicer looking and easier to work with than the actual frac or Doepfer Zero Design so I can see why someone might do such a thing if they are 1/8" oriented and have the $$ to customize stuff.
