Univ. Event Generator - ESD warning ?

Univ. Event Generator - ESD warning ?

2008-05-21 by ramechling_108

What a thrill to click on the Encore Electronics link on Cynthia's UEG
page and see a 13 page Users Manual. It is written in a way so that
even I can comprehend most of it !

Then there are the dire warnings on page 5 of ESD(electro-static
discharge)damage... I can only hope that my handling of the TwinWasp,
Dual ADSR, and Tabla hasn't destroyed them ?...guess I'll find out
when the Anything Mod. arrives !!

Still, the UEG seems to be invaluable and I'm waiting for the
announcement that the Cyndustries A-format version is in production
again ?

Hi Richard!

We're planning on releasing another batch of UEG modules
this summer, maybe shipping sometime in July.
That's the plan anyway and Tony and I have been in touch
about it. It will probably be a very small run of them, I think
that we have about three orders for them, plus I will want a
couple myself, so it's going to happen quite soon.

We just went through an intense fourteen day shipping frenzy
and shipped over one hundred orders to a dozen countries around
the world. After the weekend and a little rest, we'll get another
batch of UEGs going through the pipeline, so if you want one from
this year's batch, you should place your order or deposit before the
last day of the month.

Oh and Richard, don't worry too much about all of that static
discharge kind of talk, just don't comb or brush your hair with one
hand while holding a disconnected UEG module in the other hand.
(As you've seen, we ship all our modules in our famous pink static
free bubble packs, and once modules are installed and connected to
the power jumper cable, you really needn't worry about static
damage anymore)

Best Wishes!

Cynthia

Howdy Steve!

Yes, we are presently building Gate Sequencers and Low Pass Gates
It is a perfect time to order a Gate Sequencer if you want one quickly.

As far as the Low Pass Gates go, we have (25) committed to Modcan
banana type front panels that are spoken for, and another (25) which
we can use for either more banana format panels, or to make Motm, or
Dotcom versions.

In fact, our new Dotcom format Quad Low Pass Gates are already
in production!

After this batch of Gate Sequencers, and Low Pass Gates we will be
shipping Anything Modules, and our Prime and Rhythmic Dividers.
UEGs will be running along in parallel in there somewhere, and ZOs
of course are running all the time.

Best Wishes!

Do you happen to have any pictures of what the face plates are gonna look like for the Dotcom format and the MOTM?

Is the MOTM version the same layout as the Dotcom?

Re: [The_Cyndustries_List] Re: QLPG's

2008-05-21 by Cynthia Webster

The Motm version of our
Low Pass Gates will be a different layout
than the Dotcom version.

With the Motm format of our LPG all (12)
jacks will be at the bottom of the panel in
a more standard (Motm type) arrangement.
