My first Cynthia module AND IT'S A DOOSY!

2006-04-21 by tzuica2003

Hey everybody - I JUST received my VERY first Cynthia module (along
with the six pac & medium power supply) and it's a doosy...

THE VC TABLA!!!

I'm a synth.com & arp 2600 user and I gotta tell you -

THAT THING ROCKS (or is it Ragas??)!

The quality of the work(wo)manship is absolutely amazing. I'm
waiting on a dot com format zerosc. but me thinks I'll be picking up
a synthacon filter in the meanwhile to fill in one of my 2 blank
spaces.

I had it up & running in NO time and ran it through my multi mode
filter, triggering the envelope & controlling my Q960 sequencer to
boot! Ahh, just hand me that dish of vindaloo and, er, some Malani
Cream and I'M ALLL SET!

Thanks Cynthia!

Yay! I have been drooling over the Cynthia Tabla & Tanpura modules ever since they showed up on her web site, and it's
great to hear a favorable report.

So... Cynthia, could I maybe get a copy of the documentation for these modules? I'd like to know more about what they
do. I've studied the web site pictures & text endlessly but I'm still not sure exactly how one uses them.

The sound samples on the site are mind-boggling!

The VC Tabla for example, has voltage control of the drum tempo, and
voltage control of the drum pitch.

Logic signals will enable/disable the drum on cue, and the tal
or rhythmic pattern of choice may be selected either manually or via
pulse count.

Increment and Decrement logical inputs are provided to walk or cycle the
tabla through it's
catalog of different rhythmic tals, and especially fun are the two
pattern outputs of exotic beats
one is a master rhythm, and the other are accent beats that go in
syncopation with the master.

If you click on the keypad in the photograph of the tabla panel on the
VC Tabla Page,
you will see a pop up window showing the tals better.

Like many of the illustrations on the cyndustries website,
if you click on the illustration of the Tanpura module...
you too may be enlightened!
