Hi cynthiasists

just wondering about whats next in the colourfull
cynthia range or planned as i am about to look into building a modcan
system with some cynthia mixed in and wondered where this range is
heading given that its already in outerspace idea wise! ? anyone has
any idea for future modules which will wet my appetite?

I had a question also , whats the weirdest module available of
combination ? is there a magic combination?

more questions than answers and i know theres infinite combinations
leading to limitless possibilites but anyone have a recommended module
for autocomposition and ' artificial intelligent ' sounds !?

cheers

jack

Welcome Jack!

We usually don't tell anyone what we have planned,
(hey - we're a super top secret skunkworks here... we can't
go around telling everyone that atomic element Uus-117
is the byproduct of our next gadget, or what happens
to those two silly electrons when you start with
UnUnpentium-115 in the first place.

(Yes, I'm sure I've said too much already!)

We tried coordinating our product line with other
manufactures in the past, but didn't get much help, so
we're out there ridin' that leading edge all on our lonesome :)

So you see, we would never give the public a sneek peek

http://www.cyndustries.com/modules_photon.cfm

(It's more like we manufacturers are all playing the game
of Battleship in super slow motion... B7 to B9!
"hey, they came out with the ZO and sank our battleship!")

So you see, sometimes there's great delight in Not Telling!

For example, Bruce recently announced a CV Recorder
module, so we killed the one we had planned, and we
are doing something else completely different instead.

There is absolutely no shortage of creative ideas here,
rather, the challenge is to know which idea to plunge all
of our resources into making for the next several months.

What we refuse to do, is to publish lists of a whole bunch
of future modules that never arrive. Our internal policy
is strict, in that we will not talk about ~any~ module
until it is totally real and ready to start shipping, period.

For the DIY crowd, you can make your own Uup-115

http://www.amasci.com/freenrg/make115.txt

As far as self running patches, a great unsung hero in
this regard is our Staircase Comparator as the fact that
you can set as many as four thresholds on one or more
inputs means that the module can bubble and squeek a
bit as if it were alive, (WB) Feed noise into it for lots of
odd gates at irregular timings!

I'm rather partial to using a VC Tabla module to create
interesting coordinations of beats, and then running those
two gate outputs into Gate Sequencers to generate four
or more different simultaneous beats based on Indian
rhythms... right at that point, you can run these into a
Staircase Comparator or a Logipac module to challenge
these rhythms against a more predictable periodic beat
such as an LFO (2 LFOs mixed, or Super Psycho LFO)
(or a drum machine) and see which beats make it through,
and then of course you can run some of that into a Prime
Divider for wilder and wilder stuff. (A prime divider is
most interesting to me when you can compare the divided
beats against more um, "normal" rhythms in a mix)

When you patch multiple voices to these different beats
and then run divided variations on them through a
Modcan Super Delay then the results are as you might
imagine (pretty wackked-Out) becuase the delays start
adding beats of their own and you end up with heavenly
Martian Music.

and ~that~ is where the Uus-117 comes in!

is the light intensity voltage controllable? i want the light to
bounce along with my LFOs...

strikes me that operating this way is a bit dodgy, considering the
size of this cottage industry and the vendors operating within it!

Ola!

This reminds me of Bleeplabs - Thingamagoop!

modular espionage is rife !

isnt that like a poisonous substance ?:but then again the + of side
effects ?

wow . . . you just spent my years studio budget there ! great great
ideas here , i have to admit ive been lurking around that tabla and
tanpura page a bit !i hadnt considered any of these possibilities - i
have a vision !

from these descriptions i can see i dont need to worry about you
creating ' new ' modules ,

cheers for the inspiration :)
