I would like the same, just so I know.

Bruce, and please take this in the lighthearted weigh it is intended – I before e except after c or when sounding like a as in neighbor or ‘weigh’. J

I hate email – even spell checking is stupid.

Regards,

John

Plus cool for you......have loads of fun with it!

Cynthia, is there any change that people who ordered a ZO dot.com get
a mail saying: do not leave your front door, ZO is on the way!
If not, i would really like to recieve a mail like that:)

Spill Chukka?

2006-07-30 by sfrules

Hello,

Eye before Eee accept after Sea?
Can I get aweigh with weird science?

I think a little care with spelling is a good
idea for the sake of the many on the list for
whom English is a second language.

"thEn" refers to time, not comparisons.
"thAn" refers to comparisons.

Never say or write "different then"
Never "different than"
Always say or write "different from"
Never later "then"
Always later than

"loose" means not too tight
"lose" means go away

"it's" always means "it is"
"its" always means "belongs to it"

"to" means "going toward"
"too" means "excessive"
"two" is a number
"tu" is French for "you"
"Thieu" is a Asian name
"tutu" is a dress
"Tutu" is Desmond's last name
"Too Too" is just plain snobby

Only write, "I won't go too Chicago because its to cold." when you
want to mess up the reader's head!!!

The ONLY ONLY ONLY time you use an apostrophe for more than one is
when you are using
an acronym like "VCO" EG's VCA's VCF's ADSR's
VCO's DMZ's PCP's

Never write "wire's" unless you are talking about or describing
something about a particular wire
the plural of tomato is tomatos or tomatoes
the plural of potato is potatos or potatoes
the plural of squash is squashes
the plural of battery is batteries, not battery's, not batterie's
the plural of almost everything else is done by adding an "s" WITHOUT
AN APOSTROPHE!
wires jacks plugs filters amps modules Moogs ZerOscillators rants
Hertz (...?)

...and for fun you can correct all the PUNCTUATION ERRORS in the
above rant...

I did not know that. I have tended to write "VCOs", etc., while not
feeling quite right about it. I have one of those ZO's. There!

Thanks!

Of course, all of that is true for English. I speak, and more importantly, type American. It's so much easier. There are no rules. ; )
