  Hi Mike,

I can only guess the pins aren't seated right. The roms were actually tested in a UK version S1100 as I use on with a voltage converter.Does it always take 10 restarts before it works?

  Thanks,

  Mike Wolak

I put the EPROMS in, took the s1100 out the rack, lifted her hood off. took the old ones out. put new ones in, pressed quite hard but not too hard. with the lid off I tested it and it was all fine.

After putting her back in the rack I turned her on and it loaded but the controls (data/cursor wheel, buttons) locked and the machine froze. Now when I turn it on the screen just goes completly white, any idea what's happened? have I done something wrong or are these ic chips for , I dunno, US released s1100's only.

I put them in the right way round.

        Mike

                            Hi!

Starting from version 2 it supported harddisk recording.
But the most useful feature is of course the S3000 CD read compatibility.

You can load the V4.3 eprom images here so that you don't have to load the OS from disk or harddisk.
