So, having replaced both the contrast pot and backlight on my S1000KB the display is still dull blue after an initial flash of white when the unit is switched on. I'm hearing that the inverter is the next thing to try, and that's where I'm heading next. Has anyone successfully replaced the LCD with a VFD display like these http://www.noritake-elec.com/whyVFD/default.htm in an S1000 or S1000kb? if so, which model number works and are any other mods required?
