Does s1100 os 4 read floppys from s3000xl ?

I just bought s11000, i don't know what os is there
but i'm planning upgrade to 4.0

i have akai s3000xl too

and i wonder...
 
Does OS 4 read floppys from s3000xl ?
Does OS 4 save in s1000 with compatibility with older os?
