Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi,
I know I'm a bit late responding to this but I was just reminded of it
as just today I bought
a box of 10 second hand PC formatted Zip disks.

It's not true that you can't use preformatted disks in a zip drive on the S1000,
you don't format them - you just choose 'Arrange'.

This will give you a blank disk which you can use with no problems whatsoever,
'Arrange' is also quicker than a format - it basically rewrites the
"Table of Contents"
of the disk, the arrange will also check the disk for bad sectors - a
step which you can skip if you want.
