Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

hello everyone,

am happy to find the group. i'm an audio-video practitioner.
recently got gifted an S1000KB.
i have approximately zero sounds for it.
got an internal 1/2gig scsi drive working with it.
recorded a few sounds.

i'm interested in acquiring some S1000 formatted material and actually being able to copy these to the machine.
i've got a scsi CD writer. I'd also like to figure out how to dump sounds via scsi onto the instrument...
...and, if possible, figure out how to convert existing sampler patches to an s1000 format (i'm guessing that 
translator is the only thing for that?)
