Hi,
I know this is from a while ago, but i was wondering if you had any luck getting a replacement drive for your sampler? i have an s1000 and i had a similar issue with jumper-less new pc disk drives. couldn't find one with jumpers anywhere, even on old pre-pentium computers.
any guidanace would be greatly appreciated.
cheers,
Nick

Yes, I know. But most PC drives these days don't have jumpers any longer.
The drive 1/drive 0 (master/slave) issue is no problem -I've done this
myself, modifying a standard Sony PC drive for use with an Atari ST.
It's usually a zero-Ohm resistor and marked "DS" (drive select) as far
as I can remember on the circuit board.
Is the "RDY" (ready) signal usually marked on most PC floppy drives so
they can be modified even if there isn't any jumper available?
