Very intersting. Let me know if I can help you with the project. 
The S1100 is based on the NEC V50. This is a 8080 compatible CPU. I do
not know if akai uses it only in 8080 compatibility mode.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
