I'm not succesful at the moment but i was wandering if someone uses a CDRW >with writable or re-writable CDs to store datas & sounds? I mean use it like a hard drive? How should this work? There are no routines for burning CDs in the OS of the S- series samplers!!!
>btw, my cdrw is a 6x4x16 from 1999, do you think it's old enough?>thxThis is unimportant. If you want to burn your S-1xxx library on CDs,-1st you have to store everything on SCSI hard- or removable-media-drives.2nd you have to import the data on this media into a computer equipped w/ SCSI interface(card)...3rd you must have a program which´s able to read and write data in AKAI S-1xxx format and at least this program must be able to burn CDs in Akai CD-ROM format if you want to use the data on CD in your S-1xxx sampler later again and/or if you want to import your programs and samples w/ all loops etc.into your software-sampler(s) like Kontakt, Halion or similar devices.Akai CD-ROM format is striktly recommended as a startpoint for converting into other formats if you want to avoid reconstruction of your programs completely.regardsPeWe
