Hi ! I have setted up several AKAIs ( S-1100 / S-1000 and S-1000PB ) w/ multiple SCSI drives. Simply connect all your drives in a chain to the S-1xxx IB-103 SCSI board and terminate the last drive w/ a SCSI terminator. You can have up to 7 SCSI devices in the chain, the S-1xxx included. The SCSI device No. for the sampler is fixed ( 5 or 6 AFI remember, - have a look into the Akais menue... ) Give your additional SCSI devices all different device numbers compared to the fixed AKAI S-1xxx device No. ! Then, in the Akais menue for SCSI devices, you can choose which device you want to access for loading / saving by changing the ext. device No. in the menue. That\ufffds how it works, - you can\ufffdt access more then one SCSI device at a time and beware to have more then one AKAI sampler in the chain. This is why there is only one ext. device No. available at a time ! >Thanks in advance cheers, - PeWe
