the biggest bugbear for me on the s1000 is scsi. i attach a jufitsu 230mb mo drive to the s1000, then a cd-rom to the mo.

what i do is set the 230mo drive's scsi id to 5 and the cd-rom to 4 so, by default, i can read from the mo immediately after power-up. then, if i want to load from a cd-rom, i go to the scsi page, change the scsi id from 5 to 4, then load the samples. if i want to save those samples i have to change / reset the scsi id from 4 to 5 & save.

this stems from the s1000 only being able to see 1 scsi device at any one time, unlike the e4's which can see more.

its a pain but nothing can fix it!!!
