Re: [akaiS1000S1100Samplers] S1100 Chipset next to Memory Chips???

Be carefull ! You can´t put any S-1100´s card into any slots of an S-1000 !!!
There are functions in a S-1100 which are not available in a S-1000 and one of the S-1100 cards is a SMPTE-Board and the 2nd is a FX-board.
It´s possible to damage these cards seriously.
Have also in mind 8MB and 2MB memory-cards have to be in the samplers in a special order if both types are mixed and the mainbords of S1000/ S1100 have to be rejumpered ( re-soldered ) for this.

There are only 5 types of cards which can be used in both, the S1100 and S1000, - 2 MB mem cards / 8MB mem cards / SCSI card / electrical- optical digi card and the card for Atari-,Supra-harddrives.
Even the DAC-boards for the outputs are different in both samplers and the S1100 has an additional small AES/EBU output board.
