Have you tried www.Chickensys.com The full version is $150 US. There was a stripped down Translator Free version. I've only used it in Windoze to make S1000 CD's from waves so my Peavey SP could read them. It can convert S1000/3000 samples to wave or aiff. It can see the disk on a SCSI bus in my PC or sampler and let me create an image. The limitation was one sample crunch per 1/2 hour. --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, "schrasjer" <gram@...> wrote: > > ok, > > hmmh. any programs you would recommend? > > i'm trying cdxtract, but it still can't see the disk, it sees the drive and it see a blank disk > when i insert it. > guess i'll just keep trying. > > anybody? > > thanks, > > gram > --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, Gordon JC Pearce <gordon@> > wrote: > > > > On Wed, 2008-03-26 at 00:30 +0000, schrasjer wrote: > > > hey folks, > > > > > > i just got ableton live 7 and i want to mess with my s1100 samples, so > > > i took one of my zip disks and put it into a us zip drive attached to my macbook. > > > says it cannot read the disk. > > > is there a simple solution, or even a complicated one? > > > > The Akai zip disks are in Akai format, which your Mac won't understand. > > You can get software to translate from Akai to normal .wav samples, > > though. > > > > Gordon > > >
