Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi everybody,

I am looking for a Microtech card reader to replace the S1100 floppy
drive. I have read here and there that the model PCD-47B works, but
usually when reading about that someone was telling he SAW the drive
on a S1100 picture.

It's impossible to distinguish on a picture the three models I
mentioned in the subject line, so I am wondering whether the PCD-47B
will actually work.

According to "scsiforsamplers.com", the PCD-47B does NOT work with the
S1100 (or S1000) but the other two models DO.

Does anybody definitely have the PCD-47B built in and working? Maybe
it works only with some specific card type (e.g. with SmartMedia but
not with CompactFlash).

So, does anybody have 100% accurate info?
