Hi, Please look in the messages of the past 2 weeks. We have been discussing this for a while now. In short: yes you can, as long as you have a scsi card which has an internal connector which is in working condition. A power cord is taken from an old pc power supply. The metal support may be the toughest part to make. First test the HD in an external enclosure to see if it is recognized by the S1000.
