Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

The contrast dial changes nothing, but I will try to pop it open tonight and have a look at the insides. Thanks for the suggestions - I had a hunch it wasn't merely the backlight. :/

Someone else here may know this better then me but I was told you can adjust the power on the inverter board if the display starts to appear faded.
