Have in mind Akai S-series samplers don´t do a "real" formatting of
any media.
Because any MO media is "hard-formatted" by manufacturers software,
you cannot change the sector size w/ the Akai sampler.
If you use a harddrive or other one like Jazz, the Akai sampler will
format any size of media to a limit of accessable 512MB and cluster
size of 512kb.
If you use a 1GB harddrive p.ex., 512MB will be accessaqble by the
Akai sampler. the other space of the HD is lost.
In case of removable media drives, you have to make sure it´s a SCSI
drive, not SCSI UW or SCSI 2.

S1000HD? Can I format 1 GB JAZ disk by Akai S1000HD
sampler or will be the same problem like with MO drives
(see only 230 MB disks not 640 MB - info from "Pe4free"
has written to me)?
I can buy it so that's why I'm asking:)
