Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi,

does anybody have an experience with replacing the S1000 floppy drive with HxC floppy emulator, IPCAS or any other floppy emulator?

My S1000 does not have the SCSI expansion and some kind of of floppy emulator seems to be an alternative.

Hello Tomas,

i got the HxC SD-Floppy Emulator, which I'm using with my Atari 1040.
I also tried to hook it up to one of my S1100 but without luck :-(

But it shouldn't be a problem, as someone on their forum successfully used it on a S950!

I guess you need to be aware of the different floppy interfaces, Akai seems to use the Shugart standard, which has different lines for "DiskReady" and "DiskChange"...
