Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

so i'm trying to use the volume load by program change thingy.

i have an S1000hd with os 2.2 in rom and os 4.4 autoloading from the first hard disk partition.

i figured out how to turn it on( in the rename file on disk page, set a program change number, and enable volume load on the desired partition.)
but every time i reboot my S1000 volume load gets disabled.

i've tried resaving the OS, but it dosent remember the setting

do i seriously have to manualy enable it every time i boot the S1000?

thats almost as much work as manualy loading the partition.

is there a way to save it?

problem solved!

it's not enough to do "save entire volume" i had to do "save operating system"
