Are 2 scsi drives possible with s1000?

Hi, I would like to use a cd drive on my s1000 in addition to the zip drive (why do they not warn better against "formatting" as opposed to "arranging" zips in the manual?). I have the zip as ID5 ... can I use a known conpatible cd drive on ID4 terminate properly etc? I'd like to load programs off of some lame akai sample discs I have and reanme tem to something usable to save on zips, which I prefer anyway. thanks!
