Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi,

I heard that some people are using their MPC's with parallel zip drives 
(as opposed to scsi).  I was wondering if an Iomega z100p2 (parallel 
version of zip drive) would work with the s1100.  Has anybody tried 
this?

I have the 50-pin centronics scsi interface installed in the back.
