mounting internal hard disk problem (SCSI)

Hi akk, Today I tried to mount an internal hard drive to my beloved S1100. The power supply is easy: just take a lead from a PC power supply. Some of these leads have on one side a connector for a floppy and on the other side a connector for a hard drive , cdrom or so. Normally you have more of these connectors on your pc's power supply than you really need. Just cut one of these links between small and bigger connectors and you have a free power supply cable for the internal S1000 drive! It seems as if all power supply units in S1000 series samplers have enough output for this extra drive. The connector on the S1000 motherboard is P125. Now my question: before mounting the hard drive internally, I tried it externally in an enclosure. Both my Mutec SCSI card , the enclosure as the hard drive have SCSI terminator resistors installed. This works without a problem. When I use a quality cable to link the internal SCSI connector of my MUTEC SCSI card with the hard drive, it doesnt work: the hard drive is never recognized. I tried to remove the terminator resistors of the hard drive, changed cables,... but nothing worked. I also tried with a MO drive and had the same problem. anyone knows a possible solution?
