Analogue-sequencer

Folks,

I'm looking for some opinions on the various case options for P3 so I 
can simplify life by standardising on a single case design.
I'm planning to have cases machined and engraved or screen-printed 
from scratch by a specialist manufacturer, rather than using the 
Hammond cases.
There are two types of Hammond case that have been used so far, and 
opinion seems to be split between them. I want to find out what it is 
about each case that people like so I can come up with a single case 
design with the widest appeal.

The differences between the two main case types are:
 - panel shape wrt display/keypad/tempo & data locations
 - colour (black vs off-white)
 - shape of buttons (square with text vs circular with panel markings)
 - wooden end cheeks ;-)

So, if you've got a particular preference for one case type over the 
other, which aspects of the design were most significant in your 
choice ?
