I don't think I'd want a P3 mainboard in a body cavity... even with a buttload of Vaseline (how about that - a literal use of 'buttload' ;-) It'd be very unlikely there's enough space left in the P3 ROM to add support for full remote control from another P3. But size-wise, the planned 'proper case' for P3 will be a fair bit smaller than your current case Gene. I also have a notion that I might do a single board with vertical mounting pots to replace all the front panel boards except the display module. This would have the mainboard attached directly behind it using headers rather than ribbon cables, so it would need less depth too.
