It occurs to me that an aux event to grab values from the knobs would fix
that. It would give you something to do with the knobs in play mode at
least. A auto-masking knob grab event that only took effect if the knob had
changed position since the last time the event occured would let you assign
knobs to midi volume etc too.
Hmm... this could be fun.
