RE: [analogue-sequencer] where to buy the kit

2004-10-05 by Colin f

Hi Ken,

> can someone tell me where i can find info of buying a kit...

At the moment, I'm out of stock of boards.
The next board run will be ordered shortly.
These will be slightly updated from the last run - I've had problems
sourcing the step and keypad switches from Maplin (a single source part is
always a bad idea), so the next run will use Cherry MX series keys instead.
These are higher quality than the Maplin parts, and I'm getting a quote for
custom key caps to go with them, so it's likely these will be included with
the PCB/CPU kits.
Pricing on the cases is still to be finalised - I'm going to visit the
potential makers with one of my home-made cases to make sure the design is
suitable for production. It may be that a slightly different design will be
as good in quality, but cheaper to produce. I've taken the next couple of
weeks off work to get this moving.
More news as it happens...

Cheers,
Colin f
