I am currently taking a few weeks off work to get (among other things) the
production of ready-built P3s finalised.
Lead-times of the various suppliers vary, but I'd hope to have the first
production run ready sometime in November.

This will not be a huge run - I need to ramp up gradually once I know how
quickly they will sell, although it's fair to say interest in P3 is building
nicely, and I'm not expecting to end up with a dozen spare units lying
around.
So, when I have a good idea what the retail price will be, I'll invite
deposits to ensure a place in the queue.

Those who've already mailed me to ask to be put on the ready-built waiting
list will keep their place on that list if they want to pay a deposit.
If I get enough pre-orders, I'll be able to increase the size of the first
run.

My intention now is to have the production cases made so that the front
panel can be replaced with a Schaeffer front panel if someone wants a
non-standard finish. Bigger knob spacings need bigger pots boards, and these
will only be viable if I get a reasonable number of inquiries. Kits will
still be available for those who want to roll their own.
