Remotey things get my vote too...
I did think it would be cool to change banks according to the global
channel's incoming program change. This is just in case you have a
second P3 that is sat there waiting to, oh I don't know, send loads of
MIDI CCs to a synth that you are gonna play along with the sequences
of the first. For example, I've been playing a lot with my second P3
sending 8 tracks each with 4 different MIDI CCs controlling different
parameters of a synth that I play. Switching the tracks on and off in
different combinations really rocks in terms of making a backing pad
move along nicely.

On a related note, I recently bought a Novation Remote 25 as my P3
controller and it's superb to use the P3's thru to allow the
Novation's sliders to control mix levels of all my tracks. I can have
any control sending to a particular MIDI channel so can vary any
parameter of any channel as it plays, *plus* play stuff in manually
from the keyboard. Following on from this, I'd love to be able to send
events such as part xpose, gbar length, track select and even
controllers that affect track aux parameters - so I could remotely
alter the pattern length on several tracks at once or mute/unmute
specific aux events.

I can't help keep wanting things, Colin has spoiled me.

Aye, it's everything I once dreamed of. It has inspired me to greater
and more elaborate dreams of course, not all of them involving
cheerleaders.

Sorry for rambling on..
