It is odd indeed.
The first time I tried to place an order with Rapid by phone, the girl
got very confused when I started reading the part numbers as 2 digits
then 4 digits, which as you say, is how they are shown in the catalogue.
We got on much better once I started reading them as 3 and 3.
I've now got into the habit of reading their part numbers this way, and
always get on fine placing the orders with them.
Feel free to move the hyphen one place to the left !
